My client is a growing legal business specialising in Commercial Law whom work closely with business owners and directors of a variety of companies, guiding them through world of commercial contracts, data protection and intellectual property.
Their clients are a real broad mix of industries including Insurance, further education, energy and software businesses amongst others.
They are now looking to recruit a Senior Commercial Lawyer to join their small inclusive and friendly team. They have a large client to handover to you as soon as you start and are onboarded so you will be busy from the start! They also have a passion for law and spend quality time learning and talking law amongst themselves over (virtual) coffee.
As a senior lawyer, you will get a wide variety of work ranging from writing ts and cs for a start up, to being an outsourced Data Protection Officer, to writing an array of other contracts (agency, distribution, contractual joint venture, managed service agreements) through to being a sounding board for others in the team. You must be able to run complex contract negotiations on your own (although you can always call on the team for support) and to work independently.
Therefore, you will be experienced in legal risk management, contract lifecycle management processes and tools and be used to working as a client relationship manager for allocated clients, helping to build their commercial awareness and business strategy.
This is not your traditional Solicitors - the business is all about human contact, explaining things in plain English so that the client truly understands. They don't work to timed targets its all about getting the job done to the clients satisfaction.
This role would suit someone who
- is truly dedicated to the job when they are at work
- Who is very customer focused
- Has a positive, can do attitude
- Excellent communicator who can communicate complex legal documents with don't Owners and Senior Managers
- Is solutions focused
- Who is committed to client quality
- Can work on own initiative
Commercial Law Qualifications:
Ideally you will be a qualified Commercial Lawyer, with a real passion for the law. You'll ideally have gained post qualification experience as a solicitor working either in practice or in house and have a proven track record working in commercial law. However they would also consider an experienced Commercial Law Paralegal who isn't qualified.
The role will involve a mix of office based (in Bournemouth) and homeworking.
